Rangers Top Prospect Joey Gallo MLB debut
Joey Gallo made his MLB debut with the Texas Rangers on June 2, 2015 and he was swinging mighty lumber. The prolific minor league home run hitter did not disappoint in getting his first MLB home run in his second at bat of the game. For the game he was 3 for 4 with 1 2B, 1 HR, 4 RBI, 3 R and 1 BB while batting sixth and playing third base. His home run was in the third inning off Jeff Samardzija of the Chicago Cubs with one on base. The Rangers cruised to a 15-2 victory. He was originally drafted by the Rangers with the 39th pick of the first round in 2012. Gallo turned 21 on November 19.
