Delino DeShields Jr of the Texas Rangers was selected the American League Rookie of the Month for May 2015. During the month the the outfielder hit 24 for 81, .296/.406/.395 with 4 2B, 2 3B, 0 HR, 9 RBI, 22 R, 10 SB and 15 BB in 27 games. This season he is hitting .277/.376/.366 with 0 HR, 11 RBI, 24 R, 12 SB in 37 games. He was originally drafted by the Astros with the eighth pick of the first round in 2010 and then selected by the Rangers in the 2014 Rule 5 draft. DeShields will be 23 on August 16.
