Alexander Simon was traded by the Tampa Bay Rays to the Chicago White Sox on May 30, 2015 for cash. The 1B\OF had been at Class A Advanced Charlotte where he hit .080/.080/.080 with 0 HR, 0 RBI, 1 R, 0 SB in 9 games. He originally signed with the Rays in 2010 as an amature free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Simon will be 23 on September 28.
