Josh Outman traded to Yankees
Josh Outman was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the New York Yankees on August 28, 2014 for a PTBNL or cash. Prior to the trade LHP Outman split 2014 between Triple A Columbus and the Indians as he was 3-1, 4.43 ERA, 20 K, 1.30 WHIP, .266 BAA in 22.1 IP over 23 games at Columbus and 4-0, 3.28 ERA, 24 K, 1.54 WHIP, .234 BAA in 24.2 IP over 31 games with the Indians. After the trade he was 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 2 K, 0.55 WHIP, .182 BAA in 3.2 IP over 9 games with the Yankees. Over six seasons of MLB experience with the Yankees, Indians, Rockies and Athletics he is 16-11, 4.43 ERA, 226 K, 1.43 WHIP, .262 BAA in 274.1 IP over 161 games. He was originally drafted by the Phillies in the 10th round in 2005. Outman turned 30 on September 14.
