Adam Dunn traded to Athletics

Adam Dunn was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Oakland Athletics on August 31, 2014. in exchange the White Sox received Nolan Sanburn.

1B\OF\DH Dunn prior to the trade hit .220/.340/.433 with 20 HR, 54 RBI, 43 R, 1 SB in 106 games with the White Sox. After the trade he hit .212/.316/.318 with 2 HR, 10 RBI, 6 R, 0 SB in 25 games with the Athletics. Over 14 MLB seasons with the Athletics, White Sox, Nationals, Diamondbacks and Reds he has hit .237/.364/.490 with 462 HR, 1168 RBI, 1097 R, 63 SB in 2001 games. He was originally drafted by the Reds in the second round in 1998. Dunn turned 35 on November 9th.

RHP Sanburn pitched in 2014 at Class A Advanced Stockton and was 3-1, 3.30 ERA, 73 K, 1.45 WHIP, .279 BAA, 6 SV in 71.0 IP over 42 games. He was originally drafted by the Athletics in the second round in 2012. Sanburn will be 24 in July 21.
