Nomar Mazara April 2016 AL Rookie of the Month

Nomar Mazara of the Texas Rangers was selected the American League Rookie of the Month for April 2016. During the month the outfielder hit 21 for 63, .333/.392/.460 with 2 2B, 2 HR, 7 RBI, 10 R, 0 SB and 7 BB in 17 games. He originally signed with the Rangers in 2011 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Mazara turned 21 on April 26.
