Darnell Sweeney traded to Reds
Darnell Sweeney was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Cincinnati Reds on May 28, 2017 for future considerations. The second baseman hit 27 for 119, .227/.290/.412 with 4 HR, 15 RBI, 17 R, 7 SB in 38 games at Triple A Oklahoma City in 2017. He did have one partial season of MLB experience with the Phillies in 2015 hitting 15 for 85, .176/.286/.353 with 3 HR, 11 RBI, 9 R, 0 SB in 37 games. He was originally drafted by the Dodgers in the 13th round in 2012, was traded to the Phillies in 2015 and traded to the Dodgers in 2016. Sweeney turned 26 on February 1st.
