Chasing 50-50 050913

Last season we followed Matt Kemp of the Dodgers in his self proclaimed attempt to hit 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases. The 2013 season is under way and we are going to follow Kemp's efforts to see if he can make another run. I'm also adding Mike Trout of the Angels and Carlos Gonzalez into the mix because I think they also have the speed\power combo capable of reaching the mark. As of May 9 I am adding Starling Marte of the Pirates, Carlos Gomez of the Brewers and Hunter Pence of the Giants to the chase based on their performance. This is week six of the chase.


Matt Kemp

Kemp hit well this week but didn't add to the major categories as he was 8 for 25 with 0 HR, 3 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 7 games. For the season he is now hitting .272/.324/.352 with 1 HR, 14 RBI, 14 R, 4 SB in 33 games.
