Brandon Wood traded to Orioles
Brandon Wood was traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Baltimore Orioles on May 9, 2013 in exchange for cash. Wood was playing at Triple A Omaha where he hit .264/.304/.396 with 2 HR, 7 RBI, 3 R, 0 SB in 16 games. Last season he played with Triple A Colorado Springs of the Rockies where he hit .259/.313/.409 with 10 HR, 64 RBI, 56 R, 2 SB in 119 games. He has five seasons MLB experience and has played 3B\SS\1B with the Pirates and Angels. He was last in the Majors in 2011. He was originally drafted by the Angels with the 23rd pick of the first round in 2003. Wood turned 28 on March 2nd.
