Chasing 50-50 050213

Last season we followed Matt Kemp of the Dodgers in his self proclaimed attempt to hit 50 home runs and 50 stolen bases. The 2013 season is under way and we are going to follow Kemp's efforts to see if he can make another run. I'm also adding Mike Trout of the Angels and Carlos Gonzalez into the mix because I think they also have the speed\power combo capable of reaching the mark. This is week five of the chase.

Kemp has continued to break out of his season opening slump as the last week he was 7 for 24 with 0 HR, 2 RBI, 3 R, 1 SB in 7 games. For the season he is now hitting .260/.315/.340 with 1 HR, 11 RBI, 11 R, 4 SB in 27 games
