Max Scherzer NL Player of Week 092815 to 100415

Max Scherzer of the Washington Nationals was selected the National League Player of the Week for the span of September 28, 2015 through October 4, 2015. He threw a no hitter against the Mets and for the week was 2-0, 0.53 ERA, 2 GS, 17.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 HR, 3 BB, 27 K, .038 BAA, 1 CG and 1 SHO.  This season the RHP was 14-12, 2.79 ERA, 276 K, 0.92 WHIP, .208 BAA in 228.2 IP over 33 games. Over eight MLB seasons with the Nationals, Tigers and Diamondbacks he is 105-62, 3.46 ERA, 1597 K, 1.17 WHIP, .237 BAA in 1468.0 IP over 240 games. Scherzer had also been the NL Pitcher of the Month in May and JuneHe was originally drafted by the Diamondbacks with the 11th pick of the first round in 2006, traded to the Tigers in 2009 and signed with the Nationals in 2015. Scherzer will be 31 on July 27.
