Joey Gallo was Carolina League MVP in 2014. The third baseman played at Class A Advanced Myrtle Beach of the Texas Rangers beofre being promoted to Double A Frisco. He hit .323/.463/.735 with 21 HR, 50 RBI, 53 R, 5 SB in 58 games at Myrtle Beach and .232/.334/.524 with 21 HR, 56 RBI, 44 R, 2 SB in 68 games at Frisco. He was originally drafted by the Rangers with the 39th pick of the first round in 2012. Gallo will be 21 on November 19.
