Buck Farmer and Kevin Ziomek were Midwest League Co Pitchers of the Year in 2014.
RHP Farmer pitched at Class A West Michigan before being promoted to Double A Erie and was called up to the Detroit Tigers before being sent down to Triple A Toledo. He was 10-5, 2.60 ERA, 116 K, 1.11 WHIP in 103.2 IP over 18 games at West Michigan, 1-0, 3.00 ERA, 11 K, 1.17 WHIP in 12.0 IP over 2 games at Erie, 0-1, 15.63 ERA, 7 K, 2.21 WHIP in 6.1 IP over 2 games with the Tigers and 1-1, 9.82 ERA, 2 K, 2.05 WHIP in 7.1 IP over 2 games at Toledo. He was originally drafted by the Tigers in the fifth round in 2013. Farmer turned 23 on February 20.
LHP Ziomek also pitched at Class A West Michigan of the Detroit Tigers. He was 10-6, 2.27 ERA, 152 K, 1.15 WHIP in 123.0 IP over 23 games. He was originally drafted by the Tigers in the second round in 2013. Ziomek turned 22 on March 21.
