Michael Blazek traded to Brewers

Michael Blazek was traded by the St Louis Cardinals to the Milwaukee Brewers on September 1, 2013 to complete the earlier deal for John Axford. Prior to the trade the RHP split 2013 between Double A Springfield, Triple A Memphis and the Cardinals. He was 0-0, 0.92 ERA, 25 K, 1.07 WHIP, 7 SV in 19.2 IP over 17 games at Springfield, was 1-2, 2.77 ERA, 27 K, 1.27 WHIP, 2 SV in 26.0 IP over 19 games at Memphis and was 0-0, 6.97 ERA, 10 K, 1.94 WHIP in 10.1 IP over 11 games with the Cardinals. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the 35th round in 2007. Blazek turned 24 on March 16.
