Matt Pagnozzi traded to Astros

Matt Pagnozzi was traded by the Atlanta Braves to the Houston Astros on September 3, 2013 in exchange for cash. He is a catcher who was playing at Triple A Gwinnett prior to the trade where he hit .210/.274/.314 with 6 HR, 31 RBI, 31 R, 0 SB in 90 games. He did have limited MLB experience over three seasons playing with the Pirates, Rockies and Cardinals. For his MLB career he has hit .273/.319/.330 with 1 HR, 13 RBI, 8 R, 0 SB in 39 games. He was originally drafted by the Cardinals in the eighth round in 2003. Pagnozzi will be 31 on November 10.
