Peter Bourjos traded to Rays
Peter Bourjos was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Tampa Bay Rays on March 28, 2017 for a PTBNL. The outfielder had signed a minor league contract with the White Sox in February after splitting 2016 between Triple A Lehigh Valley and the Phillies. He hit 5 for 18, .278/.316/.444 with 1 HR, 2 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 5 games at Lehigh Valley and .251/292/.389 with 5 HR, 23 RBI, 40 R, 6 SB in 123 games with the Phillies. Over seven MLB seasons with the Phillies, Cardinals and Angels he hit .243/.300/.382 with 37 HR, 149 RBI, 248 R, 61 SB in 713 games. He was originally drafted by the Angels in the 10th round in 2005. Bourjos will be 30 on March 31.
