Matt Treanor traded to Rangers
Matt Treanor was traded by the Kansas City Royals to the Texas Rangers on August 31, 2011 in exchange for cash. Treanor is a catcher who has played for the Royals, Rangers, Tigers and Marlins over eight seasons. Before the trade he was hitting .226/.351/.306 with three home runs, 21 RBI, 24 runs and two steals in 65 games. For his career he has hit .225/.315/.307 with 16 home runs, 119 RBI, 109 runs and four steals in 432 games. He was originally drafted by the Royals in the fourth round in 1994.
