Colton Pate of the Jacksonville State Gamecocks and Ethan Roberts of the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles were selected the Ohio Valley Conference baseball co-pitchers of the week for the period that spanned March 13, 2017 through March 19, 2017.
Junior RHP Pate picked up the win in a 6-3 victory over Eastern Illinois with a pitching line of 7.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 1 HBP, 2 BB and 14 K. This season he is 1-2, 4.70 ERA, 27 K, 1.39 WHIP, .279 BAA in 23.0 IP over 6 games. The Gamecocks are 10-9.
Junior RHP Roberts earned three saves out of the bullpen with one against Illinois State and two against Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). His combined pitching line was 4.1 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 HR, 2 HBP, 1 BB and 6 K. This season he is 1-0, 2.30 ERA, 19 K, 0.83 WHIP, .164 BAA, 5 SV in 15.2 IP over 8 games. The Golden Eagles are 16-6.
