John Mayberry Jr traded to Blue Jays

John Mayberry Jr was traded by the Philadelphia Phillies to the Toronto Blue Jays on August 31, 2014. In exchange the Phillies received Gustavo Pierre.

OF\1B Mayberry split 2014 prior to the trade between Triple A Lehigh Valley as he hit .182/.289/.333 with 1 HR, 4 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB in 9 games at Lehigh Valley and .213/.304/.418 with 6 HR, 21 RBI, 11 R, 0 SB in 63 games with the Phillies, After the trade he hit .208/.333/.458 with 1 HR, 2 RBI, 4 R, 0 SB in 15 games with the Blue Jays. Jonathan Broxton traded to Brewers

Jonathan Broxton was traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Milwaukee Brewers on August 31, 2014. In exchange the Reds received Barrett Astin and Kevin Shackelford.

Adam Dunn traded to Athletics

Adam Dunn was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Oakland Athletics on August 31, 2014. in exchange the White Sox received Nolan Sanburn.

Kelly Johnson traded to Orioles

Kelly Johnson was traded by the Boston Red Sox to the Baltimore Orioles on August 31, 2014 along with Michael Almanzar. In exchange the Red Sox received Jemile Weeks and Ivan De Jesus.

De Jesus will be 28 on May 1st.


Alejandro De Aza traded to Orioles

Alejandro De Aza was traded by the Chicago White Sox to the Baltimore Orioles on August 31, 2014. In exchange the White Sox received Mark Blackmar and Miguel Chalas.

RHP Chalas split 2014 prior to the trade between Class A Advanced Frederick and Triple A Norfolk as he was 2-3, 4.83 ERA, 49 K, 1.39 WHIP, .276 BAA in 69.0 IP over 28 games at Frederick and 1-1, 1.29 ERA, 5 K, 1.14 WHIP, .091 BAA in 7.0 IP over 2 games at Norfolk. He originally signed with the Orioles in 2010 as an amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic. Chalas will be 23 on June 27.

Josh Outman traded to Yankees

Josh Outman was traded by the Cleveland Indians to the New York Yankees on August 28, 2014 for a PTBNL or cash. Victor Arano traded to Phillies

Victor Arano was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Philadelphia Phillies on August 28, 2014 as the second PTBNL in the earlier Roberto Hernandez deal which also saw Jesmuel Valentin as the first PTBNL.

Bryan Anderson traded to Athletics

Bryan Anderson was traded by the Cincinnati Reds to the Oakland Athletics on August 24, 2014in exchange for cash. Prior to the trade the catcher split 2014 between Double A Pensacola and Triple A Louisville as he hit .343/.427/.643 with 5 HR, 19 RBI, 11 R, 0 SB in 21 games at Pensacola and .302/.380/.481 with 5 HR, 24 RBI, 20 R, 0 SB in 52 games at Louisville.
