Michael Morse traded to Pirates

Michael Morse was traded by the Los Angeles Dodgers to the Pittsburgh Pirates on July 31, 2015. The Dodgers in exchange received Jose Tabata. 

Morse is an OF\1B who had been traded to the Dodgers earlier in the day.

Tabata is an outfielder who had split 2015 between Triple A Indianapolis and the Pirates. He hit .291/.364/.345 with 0 HR, 5 RBI, 19 R, 2 SB in 44 games at Indianapolis and .289/.341/.289 with 0 HR, 4 RBI, 2 R, 0 SB in 27 games with the Pirates. Over six MLB seasons with the Pirates he hit .275/.336/.377 with 17 HR, 126 RBI, 208 R, 47 SB in 509 games. He originally signed with the Yankees in 2004 as an amateur free agent out of Venezuela and was traded to the Pirates in 2008. Tabata will be 27 on August 12.
