Yankees claim playoff spot 2012

The New York Yankees claimed an AL playoff spot with a 9-6 victory over the Toronto Blue Jays on September 30. That put their record at 92-67 and in a tie with the Baltimore Orioles and a four game lead over the Tampa Bay Rays. The Orioles and Rangers also claimed playoff spots the same day.
