Nationals clinch playoff spot 2012
The Washington Nationals clinched a spot in the National League playoffs with their 4-1 victory over the Dodgers on September 20. The win pushed their record to 91-58 with a 5.5 game lead over the Braves. The Reds had clinched a playoff spot earlier in the day with a 5-3 win over the Cubs.
